Aamir Khan's wife Kiran Rao has suffered a miscarriage, the Bollywood superstar disclosed on Tuesday.
"I have bad news folks. Kiran and I lost our baby. Despite our best efforts we were unable to avert a miscarriage. The last two months have been a struggle for us and that
is one of the reasons I was absent from the blog in more ways than one. I need time to heal. I will be away for a while," Aamir posted on his blog aamirkhan.com. The news of Kiran's pregnancy surfaced when she was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai for fever in June. According to reports, she was three months pregnant at the time.
Kiran's directorial debut "Dhobi Ghaat", which has Aamir in the lead role, is getting ready for release.

"King of Pop" Michael Jackson has finally been laid to rest albiet any grand ceremony.

The 'Thriller' hitmaker, who died at the age of 50 on June 25, was buried at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills without a fan in sight, Mirror online reported.

Jackson's family has gone to extraordinary lengths to keep the exact location secret as they are reportedly worried that his followers will throng the resting place of their idol.

They are even considering moving Jackson's body if security becomes an issue, the newspaper said.

"Michael has already been laid to rest, but other than the Jackson family and the management at Forest Lawn, no one knows the exact spot," a cemetery source said.

"Staff at the cemetery have been fed several different locations, it's as if they are hoping to confuse everyone so it can't leak out. The fear is that thousands of Jackson fans will descend on the cemetery and create a security issue or maybe even damage or deface the grave," the source added.

The pop icon was laid to rest without a service because his family were satisfied with the ceremony that took place before his Los Angeles memorial concert.

Earlier last week, Jackson's brain, which was taken out for some clinical tests, was reunited with his body.

Are they or aren't they a couple? That's a question Bollywood actor Shahid Kapur steered clear of, even as he praised his "Kaminey" co-star Priyanka Chopra to the skies saying she is at her "career's best right now."
"I always knew Priyanka is a very good actor and after working in 'Kaminey' with her, I realised that she has given one of the most splendid performances of her career. I think Priyanka is at her career's best right now," Shahid told reporters here on Sunday evening.
"Apart from that, she is a team player and it's so great she did this film despite knowing that the hero has a double role. She is a self-assured actor and very confident. She knows whatever she does she'll give her best and she'll be noticed and appreciated by the audience," he added.
Reminiscing on his camaraderie with the beauty queen-turned-actor while filming the movie, he said: "It was amazing and I had a lot of fun working with her. We started our careers almost at the same time (2003)."
Shahid, 28, was in the capital to be a part of a promotional event on one of the radio stations.
Releasing on Friday, "Kaminey" has been produced and distributed by UTV Motion Pictures and written-directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Writer-turned-director Amol Gupte makes his onscreen debut in the film.
Shahid is on a chain of promotional visits and has been noticed marketing the movie alone, without the leading lady.
He explained: "Me and Priyanka are doing a lot of promotions together and also individually. We are together promoting (the film) and we recently did a press conference in Bengaluru."
"Kaminey" has had its share of controversies too considering a reported on-off relationship between Shahid and Priyanka.Shahid kept mum on this, but insisted that such rumours added to "pressure" in a celebrity's life and career.
"People say that any kind of promotion is good promotion, but I don't personally subscribe to that... The rumours add pressure. It's difficult all the time dealing with all the speculations about your personal life but I guess as an actor it becomes a part of your job... it's an occupational hazard. But it's not a great feeling... you have to learn to deal with it," he said.
"It's ok to be a bit inquisitive about anything (from the media's side) but it's also important to have a little privacy of your own (for actors)," he added.
